The largest collection of Prairie-style homes surrounding a natural setting features architectural treasures designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Burley Griffin, William Drummond, Francis Barry Byrne, and Curtis Besinger. Docent-led tours, provided by Wright on the Park, are offered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 9 AM (May 1-September 30). Tours begin at the Wright on the Park Gift Shop located at 15 W. State Street. The tour is 90 minutes long and covers 1.3 miles over uneven terrain. As a health precaution, only a single booking of up to six persons is allowed at this time. Tickets are available online. Advance reservations are encouraged. The official walking tour guidebook is available for $5 at the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum, The Music Man Square, Mason City Visitor Center, Wright on the Park Gift Shop, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Stockman House. A condensed, self-guided map is also available at the Mason City Visitor Center. The Prairie School Architectural Tour encompasses 14 blocks, and the Historic Tour covers an additional 13 blocks.
