    Iowa’s third-largest lake and one of the Midwest’s most popular fishing destinations, Clear Lake, is brimming with activity – on the beach and in the water. A popular site for boating, skiing, and swimming, the 3,600-acre glacial lake has depths of 25 feet and is open to fishing year-round. Clear Lake provides a diverse, healthy, & sustainable ecosystem thanks to ongoing rejuvenation efforts from the CLEAR Project, which has included dredging the west end of the lake. Types of Fish: Walleye, Yellow Bass, Largemouth Bass, Crappies, Bluegills, Musky. The lake also offers several beaches and two state parks – McIntosh Woods State Park (1200 E. Lake Street, Ventura) and Clear Lake State Park 6490 S Shore Court, Clear Lake). Located on the lakefront, south of the central business district, City Beach Park provides a beach area for sunning, swimming, and water sports.
