Clear Lake State Park

Clear Lake State Park

Clear Lake State Park is located on the southeast shore of beautiful Clear Lake. This 55-acre park offers a variety of outdoor recreation activities, including camping, fishing, boating, skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing, and sailing. Several small draws and thickets provide an ideal habitat for owls, squirrels, opossums, raccoons, rabbits, many species of songbirds, and an occasional deer, making the park a prime spot for wildlife sightings. Clear Lake State Park began in 1924 with the acquisition of land now occupied by the picnic area. The remaining area of the present beach was purchased the following year. In the 1960s and 1970s, additional property was acquired. Woodford Island was donated to the state in 1971 by the Woodford family. Located just a short distance from Mason City, the park offers 175 camping sites. Online reservations are available.
