    Located on the southwest side of Mason City, Frederick Hanford Park is 21.6 acres of parkland – established in 1959 as a gift from the MacNider family. The park features three adult softball complexes, a concession area, and a shelter house with water, electricity and restroom facilities. There is playground equipment located next to the shelter house. The park’s main entrance is located at 23rd Street SW and South Monroe Avenue. Park reservations can be made online or over the phone. Shelter House reservations are accepted from May – September each year.
