Join us for an afternoon of local tunes with some Mason City favorites, singer-songwriter Paul Weitzel and The Hats! The Hats play folk, Americana, jam, country, and blues favorites as well as some of their own music, too. No charge for admission, must be 21+.
This camp is for children entering 7th & 8th grades and will focus on fishing and canoeing skills. It will include fishing by canoe on Bluebill Lake, and a canoe float on the Winnebago River. All canoeing equipment will be provided; as will fishing equipment for those that need it. Space is limited so reserve your spot

Children entering the fifth and sixth grades will enjoy various outdoor activities and improve their outdoor skills. Examples of activities planned include canoeing, fishing, backpacking, edible plants, and orienteering. Day camp will be held from 9:00am to 1:00pm, lunch is provided each day. Ceramics at the MacNider is a competitive exhibition highlighting pieces created in the Museum’s Ceramic Studio. Exhibit open during all normal operation hours of the Museum. The Iowa Rock n’ Roll Music Association will host “Iowa Rocks Talent” a regional youth music competition at 1pm. Vocalist, instrumentalists and bands 21 and younger are eligible to participate. “Iowa Rocks Talent” is a statewide competition designed to encourage participation in music outside of school and to provide professional development opportunities for young musicians.
