North Iowa Band Festival
A 76-Trombone Celebration
Join us May 23-27, 2024 as we relive the high-spirited music that put our city on the world stage.
The North Iowa Band Festival is an annual celebration of the life and work of Mason City native and legendary composer Meredith Willson.
In its 85th year, the 2024 festival will include a wide range of musical performances, marketplace, carnival, food vendors, and more! All activities are centrally located in downtown Central Park.
The weekend of music begins Thursday night with the first Mason City Municipal Band Concert of the season! The John Adams Middle School Band will perform at Principal Pavilion prior to the Municipal Band.
The headliner for Friday night is Not Quite Brothers, Central Iowa’s fastest growing cover band. Formed in 2018, they quickly became known for their huge sound, eclectic setlist and ability to enhance any party. The Mason City High School Jazz Band will open for the group.
On Saturday, we break out the “Mason City Mixtape” and feature a variety of talented local musicians.
